William Rishworth’s journey to Freedom Water dates back to the late 60’s, during the time of Hippies, free love, the lottery draft, and Vietnam.
William enlisted in the Air Force on July 4th, 1968, when he received enlistment draft notices from the Army. He initially spent time at the Whiteman Airforce Base in Knob Noster, Missouri, where he spent roughly a year before being shipped out to Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam. William spent a year in Vietnam as security and law enforcement.
After Vietnam, William was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka, Kansas where he worked in law enforcement as a Sargent before being released on July 4th, 1972.
